Euro Coins
These are the eight euro coins:
1 cent, 2 cent, 5 cent, 10 cent, 20 cent, 50 cent, €1 and €2.

As you can see, each coin has a European side on the front (just like the coins of all other euro zone countries) and a Maltese design on the back. The Maltese designs were chosen by the citizens of Malta through a competition that was held in 2006. The three most popular designs were the Maltese Cross, the Coat of Arms and the world-famous altar found at the Mnajdra Temples.
Here are some tips that will help you recognize each euro coin:
They have different sizes and colours: the 1, 2 and 5 cent coins are bronze in colour and are the smallest coins of them all.
The 10, 20 and 50 cent coins are a little bit bigger and are gold coloured. The €1 and €2 coins are the prettiest and the most unusual because they have two different colours – silver and gold! But don’t worry, you won’t confuse them because the €1 is silver in the middle with a gold rim, while the €2 is smaller in size and is gold in the middle but has a silver rim.
