Cabri Files - A set of interactive dynamic geometry activities for secondary schools. (These files are zipped. To open you need WinZip and Cabri Geometry II.

Cabri Worksheets - A set of worksheets  which describe how geometric figures may be constructed by the students themselves and then used to discover geometrical relationships and results.

Another set of Cabri Files - submitted by Mr Winston Micallef (Mathematics Head of Department at St Lucia Girls' Junior Lyceum)

MicroWorlds LOGO Activities - A set of worksheets contributed by Joseph Mamo (Mathematics Head of Department at St Ignatius College).

Another MicroWorlds LOGO Activity on the Number Line.    This activity,  contributed by Joseph Mamo, includes three worksheets  based on a Logo project called Number Line.  To use this project first save the file Number Line.mw2, then open MicroWorlds Logo and load the file Number Line.mw2.

Worksheet 1, Worksheet 2 and Worksheet 3 as Word Documents

Worksheet 1, Worksheet 2 and Worksheet 3 as PDF Documents

Derive for Windows Worksheets - A set of worksheets which help students understand algebraic concepts and consolidate algebraic skills.

Make these Diagrams using Derive - an activity which requires good knowledge and understanding of equations of straight lines.  (Adobe Acrobat Reader is required.)

Sample ICT Lesson Plans (These documents are in PDF format..  Adobe Acrobat Reader is required.)

Problem Solving Using Technology

The use of paper and pencil methods to solve problems is commonplace.  How about trying to use technology as an alternative approach to problem solving?

Problem Solving Using a Spreadsheet (Use Adobe Acrobat Reader to open, then Print.)

Problem Solving using Derive (Use Adobe Acrobat Reader to open, then Print.)

Investigations

                                    Investigations for the Mathematics Classroom

                                    Investigations Using Technology

Mathematical Structure Using Derive

Derive may be used to introduce Secondary School students to the mathematical structure underpinning arithmetic and algebraic operations.  The students AUTHOR the expressions on the left and then use SIMPLIFY BASIC and EXPAND as necessary to get the result shown on the right.  They observe  and discuss the results with the teacher.

A Lesson in Mathematical Structure Using Derive (Use Adobe Acrobat Reader to open, then Print.)

Power Point Presentations

These presentations were prepared by Carmelo Ellul, Mathematics head of Department at Rabat Girls' Secondary School.  These presentations are an excellent resource for revision purposes.

The following presentations were prepared by Winston Micallef, Mathematics Head of Department at St Lucia Girls' Junior Lyceum.
